ABOUT LSC

Beth grew up skating in Fenelon Falls and went on to train at the Durham Region Skating Academy and Ice Dance Elite school in Scarborough during her competitive years. Some highlights of her skating career include completing her Gold free skate, skills, and dance tests and competing at the Pre-Novice level in ladies singles and Novice level in ice dance. After that, she continued skating with Brock University’s varsity skating team where she was an OUA Allstar and Captain of the team. It was at this time that she completed her coaching certification and began teaching in St. Catherine’s.

Beth has been coaching for over 20 years and is Provincial trained. She recently moved to Lindsay with her husband, Jeff and two children; Jacob and Charlotte “Charlie”.  Coaching is her passion and she is very grateful to have the opportunity to do what she loves.  

Marg has lived and coached in the area since 1972. Currently, she is a National certified coach. Her pupils have attained Gold Status in Skills, Freeskate, Dance and Interpretive. Former pupils have competed at Provincial level and at the National Challenge level as well. Her personal coaching philosophy is encourage her skaters 'to be the best you can be' while maintaining a positive approach to all that skating offers.

Arlene  grew up in Uxbridge Ontario. She has been coaching skating for 41 years. She is a Provincial Certified level coach. Arlene has had many skaters pass gold tests in all 4 disciplines and has had numerous skaters qualify for StarSkate Provincial Championships. Arlene has also produced many ice shows for various clubs over the years. She  skated in Uxbridge, Markham and Stouffville skating clubs as a skater. She enjoys sewing and gardening when she is not at the arena.

Ella found her love of skating in 2020 and hasn't looked back! Now she is looking to share her skills with others learning to skate.

A resident from just outside of Lindsay, Emma is a certified Canskate Coach and Trained Regional Coach. A skater since the age of 4 at both the Lindsay Skating Club and Port Perry Skating Club, Emma competed in singles, pairs, dance and synchronized skating while completing Gold Skills, Silver Dances and Silver Freeskate. 

Emily has been skating since the age of five. She is a certified Club Coach as well as a trained Regional Coach. She has completed gold tests in dance, skills and artistic. Emily has also competed at the Skate Ontario provincials for freeskate and artistic as well as some competitions in New York state. Emily’s coaching philosophy is “to encourage skaters to be the best person they can be both on and off the ice in a fun, enjoyable and safe environment.”
